Hike Historic Hyde Park Trails

 

The Hyde Park Trail is a growing, 10-mile system of trails and walkways linking Town parks, nature preserves and the National Park Service National Historic sites with local neighborhoods and the Town's central business corridor. It is also designated part of the Hudson Valley Greenway Trail.

There is loose stone on all trails, wear appropriate footwear. On all trails follow tulip tree leaf markers or trail blazes painted on the trees. There are no vehicles allowed on these trails. Public Forum: 1935 AND THE ENDURING NEW DEAL: The Arts & History Programs

 

The FDR Presidential Library and Museum and the Roosevelt Institute present the third in a series of public forums. This program examines the innovations and legacies of WPA culture and history programs and discusses the feasibility of such programs in modern America. As a result of such programs more than 475,000 works of public art were produced and 225 public music performances for given, 275 books documented America's states, regions and historical resources and folklorists conducted orgal histories and recorded narratives of former slaves.
